14Opening the Presidential Office Building to the Public – Renovation and Cultural Heritage Contributions

The Presidential Office Building we see today is the end result of a difficult restoration process that met with strict security measures and numerous restrictions to avoid disrupting daily operations and official visits. Restoration personnel were subject to rigorous security checks. Due to the building's status as a national historic site, extensive research was also required before any work could commence, making this renovation project a long and challenging process.

Everyone who contributed to building this towering landmark, from its structure to red brick facade, and from its corridors underfoot to the lightning rod atop the central tower, has been an important witness to the transformation of the Presidential Office Building. We extend our sincere gratitude to everyone who contributed to preserving the Presidential Office Building so it could endure and face the challenges of each era.
