Taiwan's hard-won democracy has become a vital part of everyday life for its people. There is not just a nationwide consensus on protecting Taiwan's democracy and freedom; it is also supported by the international community. As Taiwan opens its arms to the world, the world, in turn, embraces Taiwan.
Standing at the frontline of the defense of democracy and despite facing continued challenges from expanding authoritarianism, Taiwan continues to collaborate with like-minded international partners to support the “democratic umbrella.” Defending Taiwan's democracy is not only about protecting Taiwan itself but also about preserving regional peace and promoting global prosperity.
